§1
Purpose of the Privacy Policy

The purpose of the Privacy Policy of the Business Advisory Law Firm (hereinafter referred to as the “Law Firm”) is to explain the principles and grounds for processing your personal data, which is carried out in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations, in particular Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”), as well as the Personal Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018.

The Law Firm applies appropriate legal and physical measures to maintain the confidentiality of your data and to protect it from unauthorized access.

Providing your personal data is always voluntary. However, failure to provide such data may result in the inability to contact you, respond to your inquiry, and hinder or prevent the execution of a contract or fulfillment of a legally justified purpose.

Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing

As part of its operations, the Law Firm collects and processes personal data:

  1. for the purpose of executing contracts concluded by the Law Firm with Clients (legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR);

  2. for purposes resulting from the legally justified interests pursued by the Law Firm as the Data Administrator (legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), namely:

a) for providing services to Clients,

b) for marketing the Law Firm’s services, including informing about events or the activities of the Law Firm,

c) for analytical, statistical purposes, and ensuring IT security related to the website www.lexid.eu,

  1. for the purpose of recruiting individuals interested in working or cooperating with the Law Firm (legal basis: respectively, Article 6(1)(c) and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Furthermore, the Law Firm processes personal data to the extent necessary to fulfill legal obligations imposed on the Law Firm (legal basis: Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Rights under the GDPR

Providing personal data is voluntary; however, depending on the circumstances, refusal to provide data or requesting its deletion may prevent the Law Firm from, in particular, contacting you, providing information about events and the Law Firm’s activities, or performing a service. The processing of personal data within the provision of legal assistance services is regulated in contracts concluded with clients. The transmission of commercial information electronically, e.g., via e-mail, requires your prior consent. Under the principles set out in legal regulations regarding data protection, and within the scope provided therein, you have the right to access your personal data, rectify it, delete it, or limit its processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection). Some of these rights may not apply to data processing related to legal assistance services. If you do not wish the Law Firm to process your personal data for marketing purposes, you may object at any time or withdraw your consent for data processing for this purpose. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out based on consent before its withdrawal.

Data Processing Period

Your personal data will be processed, depending on the specific purposes and legal basis of processing, as follows:

  1. until the expiration of the limitation periods related to the contract associated with the data processing;

  2. until the legally justified interests pursued by the Law Firm as the Data Administrator related to the processing of specific data are achieved;

  3. until the expiration of periods related to the limitation of obligations arising from legal regulations;

  4. until an objection is raised or consent is withdrawn regarding data processing for marketing purposes.

If separate legal provisions require it (e.g., the Accounting Act, the Tax Ordinance), personal data will be stored for the period required by these regulations to meet their legal requirements.

Sharing of Personal Data with Other Entities

Your personal data will be disclosed only to entities authorized under the law or based on an entrustment agreement with the Administrator. Under an agreement, the Administrator may entrust data to entities directly or indirectly associated with the Law Firm, particularly in an organizational or personal manner, with a registered office in one of the Member States of the European Union. Furthermore, recipients of your data may include external service providers (including IT services, accounting, auditors, lawyers) and administrative authorities, state services, and courts. The above-mentioned service providers will be obliged to maintain the confidentiality of your personal data and process them in accordance with data protection regulations.

Processing Area
No Profiling

The Law Firm does not process data automatically, including profiling data.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Any changes and updates to the Privacy Policy will be published on the website www.lexid.eu. By using our website, you accept the Privacy Policy. Otherwise, you should stop using the website.
